Continuing Education on Tobacco

- Overview of Tobacco Cessation: This continuing education course discusses the basic clinical behavioral intervention steps for helping patients quit smoking or other tobacco use. (1.25 cr) Letter of Completion
- Pharmacotherapy of Tobacco Cessation: This continuing education course discusses pharmacological interventions to help your patients quit smoking or other tobacco use. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion
- Five Cases: Basic Tobacco Cessation Interventions: This continuing education course uses a case-based approach to teach the basic clinical intervention steps to help patients quit smoking or using other forms of tobacco. - Cigar and Pipe Smoking: This continuing education course helps healthcare providers address the problem of cigar and pipe smoking in their patients. - Smokeless Tobacco: This continuing education course helps healthcare providers address the problem of smokeless tobacco use in their patients. Topics include the various forms of smokeless tobacco, the extent of its use, its addictive nature, and the associated health effects. - Children and Tobacco: Three Cases: This continuing education course uses a case-based format to present tobacco issues important in treating children in primary care. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion
- Teens and Tobacco: A Case: This case-based continuing education course helps healthcare providers prevent teen patients from smoking or using other forms of tobacco and help teens who have already started to quit. Topics include societal pressures affecting tobacco use by teens and age-appropriate tobacco cessation or prevention interventions. (0.75 cr) Letter of Completion | FBN

- Monique: General Health Effects of Tobacco in Women: This case-based continuing education course presents the negative health effects of smoking that are unique for women or more severe in women (exclusive of pregnancy-related effects).
