Pre-Clinical

• Prevalence, Trends and Impact on Health: Opioid Addiction
  Understanding the scope of the problem of opioid misuse is essential before initiating an office-based buprenorphine treatment program. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion

Clinical

• The Detection and Diagnosis of Opioid Dependence
  This module will address the detection and diagnosis of opioid abuse and dependence in the general patient population via effective patient-physician interaction and screening techniques. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion


• Opioid Use Disorders and Common Comorbidities
  Psychiatric and physical comorbidities frequently co-occur with opioid use disorder, but often go unrecognized and untreated. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion


• The Role of the Practicing Physician in Substance Abuse Treatment and Working with Multidisciplinary Teams
  Understanding the scope of the problem of opioid misuse is essential before initiating an office-based buprenorphine treatment program. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion


• Pharmacology of Opioids and Neurobiology of Opioid Addiction
  This module will help the learner understand the pharmacology of opioid receptors and the opioids that interact with them. (1.0 cr) Letter of Completion

Advanced Concepts

• Chad Wright - A Remote Live Standardized Patient (OSCE)- IN DEVELOPMENT
  This Standardized Patient encounter will train health professional learners when and if it is appropriate to screen for drug abuse, specifically opioids, and to evaluate the interpersonal interviewing techniques of learners.
